This book was very enlightening to read, knowing more about the cult and how it operates.
I don't understand how a person could be okay with following someone when they know that that person is lying about them and punishing them for things they didn't do. People knew that Warren Jeffs lied about somethings and yet they continued to follow his lead. It doesn't make sense when it becomes so extreme.
Rachel is extremely resilient, that part is definitely true. I know that there is no way I would have been able to stay as long as she did. The first time he tried taking me away from my kids I would have left. No ifs ands or buts about it.
Ms. Jeffs did not retell her life for sympathy and so I don't hold any sympathy towards her but I was happy to read her story. It brings to light the power that some men can hold over others.

The Last Thing She Ever Did by Gregg Olsen Review
This book is twisted and dark. I was intrigued by the story line and it didn't take me very long to finish this book since I read it every chance that I had. That being said, there were parts that made me sick to read. While I realize that there are people out there willing to do whatever it takes to keep up appearances and only thinking about themselves, this is the first book that has really made that clear and was up front about it.
Liz's development through the book is fantastic, her experiences are described enough that you really get a feel for what she is going through. Nothing is sugar coated. Being weak and walked over to standing up and being strong is wonderful.
As I got closer to the end of the book I was able to figure out who had been following them through the story and that was a little disappointing for me.
4 stars.

Girl Last Seen by Nina Laurin Review
This is the first book I have read by Nine Laurin and it was amazing. I was definitely not expecting the ending which I loved. I hate predictable endings.
I didn't find any inconsistencies when reading this novel and there were no errors that stuck out to me like a sore thumb.
There were times when the details were amazing and you could feel like you were there but then it just felt like with other things being described it seemed to lack a little bit.
A lot of unexpected twists in this book that make it so much better. Nothing about this is predictable.
5 stars

Molly's Game by Molly Bloom Review
I was hesitant to read this book at first, as it was not one that I was interested in. Every time I was in Chapters or walking past the book section in Walmart I saw the book. I would pick it up and read the back, put it down and then pick it up again. Finally I bought the book.
The more I read the more interested I got. I liked the terms used being explained so that you knew what was actually happening.
Her story is relate able. It talks about how she lost herself to money and wanting to make more. She lost friends and family and most of all she lost herself. Molly goes on to talk about how along the way she really did make some real friends and you see how there are schemes everywhere and that you really do need to be careful because people are all about trying to take advantage of you.
This is an amazing and detailed book that really opens up your eyes. Money is not everything and it does not bring happiness. In fact, I think that in most cases, money brings problems when you have too much of it. But sadly the world shows consumerism and money as what life is all about and lots of people blindly believe it.

Sweet Spot for Victoria by Hayley Faiman Men of Baseball Novella Review
The book moves quickly and has enough drama to keep it interesting but it was not my favorite in this series. I like how you get a little more insight into the previous couples but I feel that it takes away from Victoria and Carlos and their story.
I wish that there was a little more detail about the beginning of their marriage and the struggles that they had since they are barely touched on.
This book has the least amount of grammatical errors but because it has everyone's perspectives in it, I find that I did not enjoy it all that much. Sad to say that this book will only get 3 stars from me.

Forced Play for Libby by Hayley Faiman Men of Baseball book 3 Review
This book was fantastic. It still had grammatical errors like the first two books but not even close to as many. I was, admittedly, all over the place with this book. I would read a couple pages and then put it down just to pick it right back up. I love this book so much. I could really feel for Libby and I found her story to be the best. I like how it wasn't a perfect marriage and that it really showed how looks can be deceiving.
Libby is by far my favorite out of all of the women Hayley has written stories about. She has such strength and you can tell because depression is not an easy thing to deal with and when it brings you down it is so hard to get back up. She comes from privilege but doesn't let it go to her head I guess you could say. Libby doesn't have the holier than thou mentality and that is awesome.
The whole bad boy thing with Pete was awesome as well, because what girl doesn't like a dirty talking bad boy with tattoos?
While I am not married, I do know that communication is extremely important and this book really touches on that. It also talks about how you can't be focused on yourself, which is hard. When things aren't going well and communication is lacking, naturally you start drifting, trying to find ways to fix it. But the things you are fixing may not necessarily be the right ones.
5 stars. No 10 stars because it is just that good.

Catching Maggie by Hayley Faiman Men of Baseball book 2 Review
This book had me confused for the first couple chapters. The back of the book and the synopsis talked about Maggie and Sammy but the book isn't actually about them being together. I was thrown off a bit but the more I read of the book the more into it I got.
I was fairly impressed that some of the key facts of BDSM in this book were accurate. For example trust and aftercare are extremely important and that 50 shades crap doesn't even touch on it. There were still a lot of grammatical errors and I did not like that at all. Every time I came across one it pulled me out of the story.
Overall I really enjoyed this book, 4 stars for sure. Jackson's character is one that I really enjoyed, even Elliot I enjoyed because it was an accurate depiction of how people in that life style can pretend to be dominant when they really don't know what it means to be a Dom.

Pitching For Amalie by Hayley Faiman Men of Baseball Series Book 1 Review
This is not the first book that I have read by Hayley Faiman. I loved this book. Her female heroine is not your regular main character. Amalie is not this petite person with large tits, instead she is six feet tall. This is the first book I have read where the woman is not in the five foot height range.
I did have some problems when reading this book but they all had to do with grammatical errors. Aside from that, the book was awesome and I had a very hard time putting it down. Usually I don't read books that are about sports since I have no interest and I find them boring but this one was far from what I thought it would be.
Even with the grammar errors I would totally give this book 5 stars. Amalie is not my favorite character by Mrs Faiman but she is definitely up there; and not just because she is not your normal female character.

The Devils Match Book 4 of the Devils Own series by Amo Jones
I'm not sure why everyone was so excited for Frost's book. His character is awesome, of course, but he isn't a favorite of mine. This book was good but it has a lot of inconsistencies in it, like all the other books in this series.
Giving this book 4 stars is me being generous because the story is good even though it skips around a hell of a lot. It goes from the present to two years earlier to present to two weeks later to three years later to two years earlier. You get the drift. The book is great but time line wise skips all over the place.
In chapter 6 I noticed the first mistake. "Toodles", Ella is mimicking Hannibal but it wasn't Hannibal who said this it was Ripper.
In chapter 11 it says that Ella is five feet and ten inches but when she is first described in the beginning of the book she is five feet and eleven inches.
Chapter 19 Willow is telling Ella a little about her childhood but even in her little speech, monologue, whatever you want to call it, there is a quotation mark that should not be there. In this chapter it says 'he studies to Pax' which is an awkward sentence.
In chapter 23 it is Ella's perspective but when Pax squeal "Gwwummpy" it says that Ella squeals it. Later on in the same chapter Frost and Willow and Miles are talking because Miles was apparently a human lie detector for the army. In book 3 'Razing Grace Part 2' it says that Angel is the human lie detector and at no point does it give any mention of Miles even being in the army. Ella says that Raze wipes his ass with hunnid dollar bills. This should be hundred instead.
Books 1-3 all refer to the man behind the bar at the Devils Own clubhouse as 'Old Fella' and in this book, all the way up until chapter 24, he is called 'Old Falla'.
I really enjoy how consistent this book is. (It should be noted that the last second was me being sarcastic because it bothers me that no one, not even the so called editor noticed these mistakes.)
Chapter 30 has Frost as the narrorator and there should be a comma in between Amy and Jr because otherwise you misread the sentence because it says that the child's name is Amy Jr not Miles Jr. Also in this chapter it says that Hella owns a tattoo studio downtown but he doesn't. Jada owns the studio.
