Of all the books in this series Protected by the Badman is my least favorite by far. Ziven is great, wonderful actually, it is Quinn whom I have a problem with. His aggressive and protective sides merge perfectly with his loving and caring.
I hate Quinn though. While she does develop through the book I find her weak compared to the other Bratva wives. All the women have something happen to them and come out stronger in the end but Quinn doesn't get that. She isn't weak per say but she definitely does not have the strength that Tatyana, Emiliya, Haleigh and Ashley portray.
What happens to Quinn is horrific but so is what Ashley went through. Both of them are married to Pakhans but Quinn lacks strength and courage that Ashley gains. Sonia even says in Living for the Badman that they need to be strong and share the weight with her husbands but it is obvious that that will not ever be happening between Ziven and Quinn.
The ending is a bit of a surprise and one of the things that I enjoyed must in the book.
