I am blown away by this book. Emotional roller coaster would be the understatement of the millennium. I didn't actually cry when reading this book but I got very close a couple times. Oddly enough I love how toxic the relationship is between Maddox and Amethyst because that is exactly what their relationship is.
I like how you get so much of their story from seven years old until they are in their late twenties / early thirties. There were parts of this book that I absolutely despised and hated with a passion that was so strong I just about through my phone across the room. Then there were times where I was laughing and times when I was extremely turned on by the excellent writing.
Magnificently written. Maddox is amazing, almost all of his characteristics ones that I love in the male characters in all books that I read. Dominant, protective, fierce etc. etc. I could go on and on about it.
Amethyst I'm just kind of on edge with. I don't hate her but she is just kinda meh for a lot of the book in my opinion.
