I enjoyed this book immensely. It comes with Lindsay's and Drew's point of views which I found to have been a good way to write the third and last book in the Harmless trilogy.
This book is maybe the darkest one and it may cause triggers for some because of the kidnapping and flashbacks to when Lindsay was raped. The book goes on to cover how Drew saves Lindsay from her kidnapping and has a happy ending as well but I won't give that away.
You get insight into the darkness that Lindsay is drowning in after being rescued and how it is her body's way of coping with trauma but then you get insight into what Drew went through four years ago and how he is able to bring Lindsay back from the abyss that she is in. A lot of times when people say that they know what you are going through they don't but in the case of this story Drew actually does.
I enjoy how it shows some family relationships and how they are more toxic and the parents are focused on themselves instead of what is actually good for the child. I have read a lot of books but none that have had this aspect.
You really feel for what Lindsay has to go through.
The book series reminds me a little of the show Pretty Little Liars because you don't know until the end of this book who was behind everything but there are times where you might think you know who it is but they are people who are kinda framed instead and are victims to the person behind the whole mess.
This book also shows corruption in the government because of how far up the chain it must go in order for the person behind the whole thing to get away with it all for as long as they do.
