I found almost no mistakes or issues of any sort in part one but in part two I found a lot. More than I thought I would. I have read this book multiple times but this time, because I was looking thoroughly and double checking as I read to make sure it all added up I found so many that I didn't notice before.
The first mistake I didn't record the chapter but it was "a one" instead of "alone".
The second: 'she slams her eyes shut' and then a paragraph later in chapter 17, even though Millie didn't open her eyes it says that she slams her eyes shut again.
Third: at the beginning of chapter 22 it says "my fuze" instead of "my fuse"
Fourth: In chapter 23 Raze goes upstairs and Millie is in the kitchen with Joker. There is no mention of Raze coming back downstairs but he is suddenly there and telling off Joker while telling Millie to go upstairs.
Fifth: If Millie is storming to the car after seeing Amy in the hospital and Raze is behind her then how does she know that Raze is watching her and clenching his jaw while fisting his hands?
Sixth: They are on the plane and on their way to go skiing and Raze is with Millie in the back of the plane. They have anal sex and spit is not enough lube, especially without preparation and when it is her first time.
Seventh: In chapter 36 it says 'the guy who tried to kills me'.
Eighth: In chapter 38 when Raze is with Ikea he goes from standing already to standing from a chair and crouching at her level even though she is standing with a gun in her hand and not sitting down.
Ninth: In chapter 39 Millie's hands are bound behind her so how is it possible for her to shuffle her hands so that they are in front of her?
And finally the tenth mistake that I found is in chapter 41. There are actually three mistakes but they are all in this chapter so I am just calling it one mistake.
- 'glancing between up' instead of 'glancing between us'
- When Millie slices open Souless it doesn't say what she does with the knife, I think she leaves it in him though. It never says that Raze picked up the knife when Millie was done with it so how can he drop a knife that he does not have in his hand?
- When Ella goes into the house after Frost leaves Millie watches as Ella goes upstairs but how does Millie know that if she is in the backyard and can't see what is going on inside of the house?
I suppose this isn't a review as much as it is a list of the inconsistencies and mistakes that I found. Beta readers are supposed to find these are they not? How come there are so many mistakes in this book then if they are supposed to be looked for?
I so badly want to say that this is a 5 star read but sadly I cannot because of the ten mistakes above. Sadly I have to go with a 4 star. And maybe I should go lower because of the above points but I can't justify those lowering this any further because of how good and original this story is and the twists that are in it that keep you from putting this book down.
