The Dark Heroine by Abigail Gibbs Review

I started reading this book a few months ago but then stopped because even though I was three quarters of the way through I knew how it was going to end.

"The Sexiest Romance I'll Read This Year"?  Uh, no.  More like, "The most predictable book I'll read all year".  There are parts of the books that are interesting and then there are parts that just bored me to death.  The concept of this book is good and it is different.  I can honestly say that I have never read a book like this one for two reasons.  I have never read a book that was so predictable and I have never read a book that had all these different types of creatures in them with, abilities, for lack of a more descriptive word.  The book is interesting, I'll give it that, but sadly an interesting book does not always make for a good book.  It takes more than being interesting and different for a book to be good in my mind.  Because honestly, no matter how interesting a book is, it looses every good aspect when it becomes predictable.  No one wants to read a book when they know what the ending is going to be like before they even get there.  Yeah, to put everything together you need to read the entire book but the ending is still going to be the same and you still know what is going to happen.

There are a lot of books out there and anyone can put a twist on an over told story to make it better, which is good, and I'm sure takes talent but when doing that people need to make sure their ending isn't boring or easy to find out.

To rate this book I would give it a two point five star review.
