When I first got this book I was so excited to read it after going over the cover. I got the book and opened it on my kindle and started to read. The first thing I didn't like was the girl's name, Harlow. Not because it's a bad name but the book reminded me of another book, Ravage Me by Ryan Michele where the female protagonists name is Harlow and her nickname from the Club is Princess. I personally feel like Harlow is a pretty unique name, one that I haven't found in any books apart from the Ravage MC series.
The second thing I found annoying was that the author almost never seemed to say "while" instead it was always "whilst" and that just never seemed right in this book. She also said "as" a lot. While there is nothing wrong with that word I feel that a lot of the time when she used it the word "since" would have been better.
Thirdly, and I find this one was a big problem for me, she never said ass. It was always arse, or arsehole and that took away from the book. It's an MC book, they swear in those books! You can't just have a bunch of swearing and then take out that word, it doesn't work. When she said arse or arsehole I automatically was jolted from the book and just really annoyed that she would say that instead of ass. It took away from what could have been a great book.
Fourthly, in all the books I have read that had to do with MC's, which are a lot, the cuts they wore were referred to as rags or cuts. In this book, it was a little confusing because I think they were called fags but it seemed like they were called a variety of things and there wasn't much consistency. Plus the word fag, when I hear it it doesn't seem like a nice word or one that would be used to refer to a cut or a rag.
To conclude I thought I would like this book, it was a book I was interested in. I didn't base if I would like it off the books cover or genre I based it off of romance recommendations and reading the back.
