When I first started reading this book I was extremely confused because I didn't realize that it was book three in the Devil's Own Series. Even though I hadn't read the first two books I was drawn in and loved every page. The twisted parts were the best of course.
Be warned though, the book has a couple parts that are fairly gore filled put through out it.
But. If you want a book that is twisted and full of corruption with some hot sex scenes then this is the book for you.
I have read this book at least four times now and everything flows, there are almost no spelling mistakes which is great because I usually find quite a few the more times that I read a book. I was almost at the end of the book and the one spelling mistake was 'stars' instead of 'stairs'. ONE mistake in an entire book?!?!?!?! I was so happy.
5 stars for this book without a doubt.
Sadly, even though there was only one mistake spelling/ grammar wise that stood out to me there were other discrepancies in this book. When I was reading Hellraiser, book 2 in the Devil's Own Series I realized something. Millie says that her old priest was father David and he passed away. So why is it in this book that on chapter 7 page 38 the priest comes in and Millie recognizes him as the priest who was chasing after her and shot the nun in book two, father David. So how can he be alive?
The epilogue in book 2 has Millie describing the drivers mask as 'all steel with a single red slash across the forehead and down to the chin.' The preface in this book describes the steel mask as having a chunk missing out of the corner near his mouth.
Something I don't understand is that Millie isn't blind folded when in the SUV but before they take her out the put a rag over her eyes and then as soon as she is out they take it of. What is the point of that? She also calls the vehicle an SUV and then a truck and there is a difference between the two vehicles.
